Review of ACMA activities

ACMA (Australian Communications and Media Authority) implements mechanisms to protect users from illegal online clubs, including blocking access through ISPs under the Telecommunications Act and the Interactive Gambling Act 2001.

Blocking volume since 2019

Since November 2019, ACMA has blocked about 1,279 illegal sites, including casinos and partner platforms.
In addition, about 220 operators voluntarily left the market after increasing control, starting in 2017.
